Standard:SAE4140, 40CrMo, 40CrMo4 and SCM440
Scope:Covers several grades of carbon and alloy steel seamless mechanical tubing. The grades are listed in Table-1.This specification covers seamless cold-finished mechanical tubing.
Size Range:Covers tubes in size up to and including 3 1/8(80mm) outside diameter for round tubes with wall thicknesses as required.
Shape:The tubes shall be furnished in the following shapes, as specified by the purchaser: round
