HF-25 series Metal Tube Float Flowmeter is a variable area flow meter that can measure liquid, gas or steam even under high pressure and high temperature; as its sturdy, safe and endurable features, it is especially suitable for corrosive and cloudy liquid. Not only can HF-25 ensure accuracy but also enhance its safety and reliability. Unique exterior design is benefit for explosion proof performance. HF-25 adopts magnetic detection sensor and chip process technology and its LED can indicate instantaneous flow rate and accumulative flow rate with two wire 4~20mA standard output signal, compatible with HART communication protocol. And also with high precision indicating needle and alarm switch output.

Structural Principle

The float (which can move in the tube in the vertical plane) settles at a specific level, if the forces acting on it are in equilibrium, such that the weight of the float is identical to the sum of the buoyancy force and the flow force. The level of the float in the conical measuring tube is proportional to the flow rate. A magnet located in the float and a magnet follow-up system enable the float’s level in the tube to be indicated via a pointer. The flow rate is then read from the scale according to the pointer position. As the below figure shown, the force A at magnetic float caused by the flow rate of medium, when the float stand still at a certain position in the measuring pipe, we can get the formula that G=A+W (G=float weight; W=resistance force)
