Drill pipes form the drill string which transports drilling fluids and does drilling of the oil well.
Drill Pipes are manufactured as per API 5D specification using the tool joints manufactured as per API 7. The drill pipe body is friction welded to the tool joint to achieve good strength, these manufacturing is done as per API 5D specification.
Every joint of drill pipe manufactured are machined with threading as per specific requirements either API or Premium specifications.
Drill pipes also comes with hardbanding on tooljoint and optional internal plastic coating to get better corrosion resistance.
