What is UV Printing?
The UV printing process uses UV light to dry offset inks instead of the traditional process of oxidation. Dryers stationed between each printing unit mean that the ink and coating are dry when the sheet exits the press, not wet as in traditional offset. Since UV ink is cured by light and not air, the solvents and spray powders necessary in the traditional process are eliminated. At Cadmus, we offer UV printing with six-color capability plus in-line spot or overall UV coating. It can enhance product brightness and protect product surface, boasts high hardness, resistance to corrosion and friction, not liable to scratches and so on.
