Floating pneumatic fenders have been in use for around 50 years.It is the leading anti-collision device for marine application in the world. The compressed air filled rubber fender is used as a protective medium for ship-to-ship, ship to quay and ship-to -berthing.
Floating pneumatic fenders can be delivered in various sizes and types. Chain and tyre net(CTN) type is usually recommend to protect the fender body, but sling type or body only is also available.

1.Net-type fender: fenders which are covered by a tire chain net, each end shall be linked together with one to two ring(s).
2.Sling-type fender: fenders which are designed to be used without a protection net.
Test of ship dock pneumatic fender for boat berthing
The material test of the outer rubber and the inner rubber shall be conducted in accordance with the physical properties of inner and outer rubber required by ISO 17357:2002
2.Dimensional inspection
The dimension of all the fenders shall be inspected at the initial internal pressure and the results shall be within the following tolerances:
- length: +10%, -5%;
-diameter: +10%,-5%
3.Air-leakage test
The air-leakage test shall be conducted on all the fenders at initial pressure for more than 30 min, and the test results shall confirm that there is no air leakage.
4.Hydrostatic-pressure test
The hydrostatic-pressure test shall be performed for 10 min at the hydrostatic-pressure shown in "test pressure at 0% deflection". Maximum temporary elongation: 10%.

Dia1.5m L3.0m pneumatic fenders were used for ship to ship service in Mexico. And will use for dock during ship berthing. Fenders are commonly fitted with a chain-tyre net for added protection.
