Function description:
When the average or peak power of the energy feedback from the motor exceeds the preset level of the rated braking power, a single amplifier that is not coupled through the DC bus link circuit (DC+, DC -) will generate a warning "n02 braking power exceeds" and the braking circuit will close. The next internal check of the DC bus link voltage (after a few milliseconds) detected overvoltage, the output stage closed, and the error message "Overvoltage F02" was displayed (page 112). The BTB/RTO contacts (terminals X3/2,3) will open simultaneously (page 94)

2. Several servo amplifiers (DC+, DC -) coupled through a DC bus link use built-in braking circuits, and several amplifiers (even with different rated currents) can be operated through a common DC bus link without any additional measures. The combined (peak and continuous) power of all amplifiers is always available. This overvoltage disconnection is described in 1. (Above) has the lowest turn off threshold for amplifiers (caused by tolerances). The technical data of the braking circuit depends on the amplifier type and power supply voltage, as shown in the table on the next page.
This chapter introduces the switch behavior and steps of S300, which require the implementation of operation stop or emergency stop behavior and comply with the standards.
Servo amplifiers use integrated circuits to detect one or more input phase (power feed) faults. Use the settings software to set the behavior of the servo amplifier: under "Input Phase Loss Response" (PMODE) on the basic settings screen, select: If a higher-level control system wants to stop the driver, issue a warning; if the input phase is missing and the motor current is limited, output a warning n05. This servo amplifier is not disabled. The advanced control system can now selectively end the current cycle or start stopping the drive. Therefore, the error outputs the message "MAINS BTB, F16" on the digital output of the servo amplifier, and is evaluated by the control system, for example. If the servo amplifier wants to stop the driver, an error message is displayed: if the input phase is lost, an error message F19 is output. The servo amplifier is disabled and the BTB contacts are open.

If the undervoltage threshold in the DC bus link is insufficient (depending on the type of servo amplifier), the error message "Voltage too low, F05" will be displayed. The drive response depends on the ACTFULT/STOPMODE setting. When the "holding brake" function is enabled, the servo amplifier has a special program to turn off the output stage (page 29). Deleting the ENABLE signal will trigger electrical braking. Like all electronic circuits, the general rule applies to faults in the internal "brake" module. The use of a bracket to make the motor stationary and brake in a functionally safe manner also requires electromechanical "closing" contacts for holding the equipment and suppression devices for the brake.

The stop function is used to shut down the machine during normal operation. The stop function is defined by IEC 60204. Category 0: To shut down the driving machinery (i.e. uncontrolled shutdown) by immediately shutting down the energy supply to it; This is a built-in STO function that can be achieved (see page 37); Category 1: Controlled shutdown to provide energy for the drive to maintain the machine for shutdown, and the energy supply will only be interrupted when the shutdown is completed; Category 2: Controlled shutdown to provide energy for the drive and maintain the machine. The stopping category must be determined through the machine's risk assessment. In addition, appropriate means must be provided to ensure reliable shutdown. Class 0 and Class 1 stops must operate independently of the operation mode, where Class 0 stops must have priority. The stop function must be implemented by disconnecting the appropriate circuit and have a higher priority than the assigned start function. If necessary, protective devices and locks must be provided. If applicable, the stop function must send its status signal to the control logic. The operation of resetting the stop function must not cause dangerous situations.
