ISOSTEARIC ACID
Isostearic acid is a colorless transparent liquid with a typical odor. Melting point 67.8-68.5 °C, boiling point 369.53°C (estimate), density 0.89 g/mL at 25 °C(lit.), refractive index 1.4440 (estimate), storage conditions 2-8°C, acidity coefficient (pKa)4.78±0.10(Predicted).

Product application
The properties of its derivatives isostearic acid and isopropyl isostearate were superior to isopropyl coarse acid for cosmetics and ester raw materials. As a fiber softener for polyurethane elastic fibers, the alkali metals and their ammonium salts are effective softeners and wetting agents.
