When the motor drives the drive wheel to rotate, the drive wheel continuously rolls up the track from the rear through the meshing between the teeth on the drive wheel and the track chain under the action of the driving torque of the reducer. The grounded part of the track exerts a backward force on the ground, while the ground correspondingly exerts a forward reaction force on the track, which is the driving force that propels the machine forward. When the driving force is sufficient to overcome the walking resistance, the supporting wheels roll forward on the surface of the track, causing the machine to move forward. The front and rear tracks of the whole machine's track walking mechanism can turn independently, thus making its turning radius smaller.
The track walking device consists of a "four-wheel belt" (drive wheel, support wheel, guide wheel, towing wheel, and track), a tensioning device and a buffer spring, and a walking mechanism.
