Tricalcium phosphate (also known as calcium phosphate) has very wide applications. Unlike several previously introduced phosphates which focus on chelation and emulsification, its core advantages lie in providing calcium and phosphorus nutrition, serving as a structural material, and functioning as an anti-caking agent.
Food Industry: Anti-caking agent, nutritional fortifier, stabilizer, acidity regulator,
Anti-caking agent: Prevents caking of powdered foods such as milk powder, glucose powder, and wheat flour, maintaining flowability.
Nutritional fortifier: Supplements calcium and phosphorus in biscuits, bread, and solid beverages, and is one of the best sources of calcium for the human body.
Stabilizer: Used in evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk to maintain the stability of dairy products and prevent fat separation.
Others: Can also be used as an additive in candies, puddings, seasonings, as well as an aid in animal oil refining and yeast feed.
Biomedical: Bioceramic materials, calcium supplements, antacids,
Bone repair materials: Used as bone grafts, fillers, and coating materials for metal implants, with good bioactivity.

Feed industry: As a nutritional additive, provides phosphorus and calcium for feed, commonly used in the production of defluorinated phosphate.
Chemical fertilizer: Used as a fertilizer additive to provide phosphorus and calcium for plants.
Laboratory research: Used as a reagent in analytical chemistry to detect metal ion concentrations in solutions.
Solubility characteristics: Tricalcium phosphate is almost insoluble in water (solubility about 0.0025g/100ml water), but easily soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. This characteristic allows it to dissolve well and be absorbed in the stomach acid environment, while remaining stable and effective as an anti-caking agent in dry foods.
Food additive standard dosage: According to China's GB 2760 standard, its maximum usage in different foods is strictly regulated. For example, in wheat flour it is 0.03g/kg, in solid beverages 8.0g/kg, and in fried potato chips 2.0g/kg.
