I. Product positioning
Customized polymer composite binder for cold-pressed pellets of ultrafine nickel powder, cobalt powder, and nickel-cobalt mixed powder. It solves the core pain points in the industry: ball pressing of ultrafine metal powder sticking to the roll, blocking the mold, material hanging on the roll skin, and frequent shutdowns for cleaning. At the same time, it takes into account the ball-forming strength, low addition, and does not affect the grade of nickel-cobalt metal, and is suitable for continuous mass production of high-pressure ball presses.

Adopt modified pregelatinized starch + polymer isolation and lubrication components for composite polymerization, different from ordinary bentonite and simple starch binders:
The binder molecules of the powder isolation and lubrication layer coat the nickel-cobalt fine powder particles, forming a hydrophobic lubricating film on the contact surface between the powder and the steel roller skin. During extrusion, the powder only bonds internally and will not adsorb or adhere to the metal roller surface, preventing the powder from embedding in the roller groove and accumulating on the surface.
The controllable water retention system precisely locks in water, without the precipitation of free water; the moisture content of traditional binders exceeds the standard, and water seeps out directly during extrusion and sticks to the roller. The surface of the mixed material of this product is dry, and there is no water seepage or sticky roller skin phenomenon during high-pressure extrusion.
The low-viscosity outer surface structure has the bonding force concentrated in the internal cross-linking of the particles. The surface of the pellets is smooth and non-sticky. It automatically demolds instantly after leaving the mold, does not stick to the roller groove or block the silo, and continuous production can be carried out for 8–24 hours without stopping the machine to clean the rollers.
III. Core product advantages (Key point: Non-sticking to the roller skin)
1. Core advantage of anti-sticking to the roller
There is no material accumulation or roller skin sticking during the whole process of continuous ball pressing, eliminating the manual process of regularly cleaning the roller skin, and the effective production capacity of the equipment is increased by more than 30%;
No material accumulates in the roller skin mold grooves, the pellets have regular shapes and uniform single weights, reducing broken balls and irregularly shaped balls caused by material sticking;
It is suitable for smooth rollers, patterned groove rollers, and wear-resistant alloy rollers. It also does not stick to the rollers under the working condition of ultra-fine nickel-cobalt powder (200–800 mesh).
2. Molding strength and production performance
Low addition amount: Only 1.5%–3% (the lower limit is 2% for pure nickel-cobalt fine powder), and one ton of binder can produce 35–60 tons of qualified pellets, with a low comprehensive cost;
Molding rate ≥ 98%: The wet balls can fall from a height of 2 meters without breaking, and the dry balls after natural air drying have a compressive strength of 80–120kg per ball, and will not pulverize during transportation and stacking;
Fast curing speed: It can reach the transportation strength after air drying at room temperature for 2–4 hours, without the need for a drying kiln, saving energy consumption.
3. Friendly to metallurgical smelting (Key for nickel-cobalt metal materials)
It contains no harmful impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and arsenic, does not increase the ash content, does not dilute the nickel-cobalt metal grade, and does not affect the smelting recovery rate of electric furnaces and reduction furnaces;
High-temperature decomposition leaves no residue. It is completely gasified at 1100–1250℃, with no impurities accumulating at the bottom of the furnace and no blockage in the furnace chamber.
Low-carbon and environmentally friendly formula, free of carcinogenic chemical additives. Solid waste emissions meet the standards, suitable for environmental protection control in non-ferrous metallurgy.
