This vertical explosion proof distribution box is engineered for power distribution and circuit protection in outdoor hazardous locations. With floor-standing construction, it does not rely on wall mounting, which is a perfect fit for pipe galleries, open pump rooms and outdoor process facilities where wall installation is unavailable. The sturdy enclosure features good impact resistance and reliable sealing performance. It guards internal components against rain and airborne dust, copes with wide temperature swings and humid conditions outdoors, reduces condensation buildup inside the cabinet and minimizes circuit failures caused by moisture erosion.
There is ample room inside to fit circuit breakers, terminal blocks and indicator lights as project demands. It separates power and lighting circuits and offers overload and short-circuit protection. Cable entries can be customized according to cable routing. Equipped with sealing cable glands, the enclosure blocks flammable and explosive substances and isolates electric arcs from switching components, preventing ignition of surrounding hazardous media.
Circuits are separated and arranged neatly with sufficient clearance between wires. This design facilitates routine inspection, troubleshooting and later circuit modification. Housing options include aluminum alloy and stainless steel. Aluminum alloy housings are lightweight with excellent heat dissipation, while stainless steel versions perform better in coastal salt spray and mildly corrosive environments. The widened integrated stable base keeps the cabinet steady and absorbs continuous vibration caused by equipment startup and conveying systems, lowering the risk of loose terminals over long operation cycles.
The outer surface treatment is anti-aging and resists peeling and discoloration under long-term outdoor exposure. The joint surface of the cover is flat, forming a continuous and reliable protective barrier together with the sealing gasket. Widely used in chemical plants, outdoor conveying systems and open pump houses with flammable materials, it delivers consistent and safe power supply for on-site electrical equipment and serves as an ideal power distribution solution for hazardous outdoor sites without available mounting walls.
