ASTM B/ASTM SB677/B673/B674 stainless steel tube, 904L Stainless steel tube, 904L stainless steel tube, ASTM B677/B673 TP 904L stainless steel tube, UNS N08904 tube, has a unique composition material, which shows the minimum content with 0.035 Sulfur, 0.2 Carbon, 1.0 Si, 19-23 Chromium, 2.0 Manganese, 0.045 Phosphorous, 23-28 Nickel. When his alloy is used in the chloride-containing neutral environment, SS 904L pipes pit-resistant performance is superb. The 904L alloy has added copper for improving its resistance against harsh, reduced acids such as sulfuric acid. The higher strength of grade 904L to stress-corrosion cracking is attributed to a higher quantity of nickel in its composition.

Grade 904Ls corrosion resistance is intermediate between the ultra-astennitic grades, which have six percent molybdenum, and standard 316L-astennitic grades. The 904L grade is well-suited to dealing with sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, but it may succumb to stress-corrosion cracks in extremely hot temperatures. The high content of elements used in alloying the A-SS 904l tube is what gives this metal grade an outstanding uniform corrosion resistance.

SS 904l Pipe is an alloy grade with a low content of carbon that is acid-resistant.
