Thermoplastic PVC Polyethylene Coating for Electroplating Racks Jigs Fixture,High-Temperature Resistant & Chemical-Proof
High-Temperature Resistant & Chemical-Proof Thermoplastic Polyethylene Powder Coating for Electroplating Racks JigsProduct Overview
Electroplating racks jigs are essential tools in electroplating operations, holding workpieces steadily during the coating process. However, they face severe challenges from high temperatures in curing ovens and corrosive plating solutions (such as acid and alkali mixtures), which easily cause rusting, deformation, and shortened service life. Our High-Temperature Resistant & Chemical-Proof Thermoplastic Polyethylene Powder Coating is specially developed to solve these pain points. Made from high-purity linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) mixed with heat-stabilizing agents and anti-corrosion additives, this coating forms a dense protective layer on the surface of electroplating racks jigs. It not only withstands long-term exposure to high temperatures but also resists the erosion of various harsh plating chemicals, ensuring the racks jigs maintain stable performance even in extreme working environments. This product is widely suitable for electroplating racks jigs in automotive parts, electronic components, and hardware manufacturing industries.

Core Advantages for Electroplating Racks Jigs
1. Exceptional High-Temperature Durability: With a continuous high-temperature resistance range of 130 - 160°C, this coating can easily adapt to the high-temperature environment of electroplating curing ovens. Even after 1200 hours of aging at 160°C, it still remains intact without cracking or discoloration, which is 30% longer than ordinary polyethylene coatings in terms of high-temperature service life.
2. Strong Chemical Corrosion Resistance: It shows excellent resistance to common corrosive media in electroplating processes, such as sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. After 600 hours of immersion in 10% concentration of these solutions, there is no blistering or peeling, and the weight loss is controlled within 0.8%, effectively preventing the racks jigs from being corroded and extending their replacement cycle.
3. Reliable Adhesion and Impact Resistance: The cross-cut adhesion test reaches Grade 0, ensuring the coating is firmly bonded to the metal surface of the racks jigs and not easy to fall off. The impact resistance of 60 cm·kg enables the coating to withstand accidental collisions during the handling and use of the racks jigs, avoiding coating damage and exposing the metal substrate.
4. Long-Term Color Stability: Under 500 hours of UV exposure, the color difference (ΔE) is ≤1.5, which means the coating can maintain its original color for a long time even in workshops with strong lighting, avoiding the impact of color fading on the appearance and identification of the racks jigs.
Application Process and PrecautionsApplication Process
1. Pre-Treatment of Racks Jigs: First, use sandblasting to remove rust, oil stains, and burrs on the surface of the racks jigs, making the surface roughness reach Ra 3.2 - 6.3 μm. Then, perform phosphating treatment to form a uniform phosphating film (thickness 5 - 8 μm) on the metal surface, which enhances the adhesion between the coating and the substrate. Finally, rinse with deionized water and dry at 80 - 100°C for 30 minutes.
2. Powder Spraying: Adopt electrostatic powder spraying technology. Adjust the electrostatic voltage to 60 - 80 kV, the powder output to 50 - 80 g/min, and the spraying distance to 20 - 30 cm. Ensure the coating thickness on the surface of the racks jigs is 70 - 90 μm, and there is no missing spray or uneven thickness.
3. Curing Process: Place the sprayed racks jigs in an oven for curing. Set the curing temperature to 190 - 210°C and the curing time to 20 - 25 minutes. During the curing process, ensure the oven temperature is evenly distributed (temperature difference ≤±5°C) to avoid incomplete curing or over-curing of the coating.
4. Post-Processing Inspection: After curing, take out the racks jigs and cool them to room temperature naturally. Use a coating thickness gauge to check the thickness, and use a cross-cut knife to test the adhesion. For areas with defects such as pinholes or thin coatings, repair them by local spraying and secondary curing.
Precautions
1. Storage of Coating: Store the powder coating in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated warehouse. The storage temperature should be controlled between 5 - 35°C, and the relative humidity should not exceed 60%. Avoid direct sunlight and moisture, and the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
2. Workshop Environment Requirements: The spraying workshop should be kept clean and dust-free. Install a dust removal system to control the dust concentration in the air below 10 mg/m³. The temperature of the workshop should be 18 - 28°C, and the relative humidity should be 45% - 55%, which ensures the stability of the powder spraying effect.
3. Operator Protection: Operators must wear professional protective equipment, including dust masks (N95 level), chemical-resistant goggles, and anti-static gloves. During the spraying process, avoid inhaling powder and prevent the coating from contacting the skin directly to protect the health of the operators.
