The CB/T 495-1995 marine suction inlet, also known as suction bellmouth, is a standard pipe fitting specially designed for ship tanks and pump suction systems. It strictly follows the Chinese marine standard CB/T 495-1995 and is widely installed at the end of suction pipelines in ballast tanks, bilge wells, fresh water tanks, fuel oil tanks and other ship compartments. Its reasonable bellmouth structure ensures smooth liquid inflow and effectively reduces flow resistance and cavitation.

This suction inlet is available in five types: A, AS, B, BS and C. Type A and AS adopt threaded connection, type B and BS adopt flange connection, and type C is welded directly to the tank wall. AS and BS types are equipped with built-in strainers to block impurities, debris and marine organisms, protecting water pumps, valves and other downstream equipment from blockage and damage.

Made of high-quality cast iron, cast steel or bronze, the suction inlet provides excellent corrosion resistance and structural strength, adapting to harsh marine environments with salt spray and seawater erosion. The surface is treated with anti-corrosion paint to extend service life. The precision manufacturing ensures good dimensional consistency and reliable matching with ship pipelines.
With a full size range from DN20 to DN500, this CB/T 495-1995 suction inlet can meet the needs of small and large ship piping systems. It is easy to install, maintain and replace, and is highly compatible with various types of ships including bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers and offshore engineering vessels.
Each suction inlet undergoes strict size inspection and pressure test before delivery to ensure compliance with CB/T 495-1995 standard. We can provide classification society certificates such as CCS, BV and LR to meet ship inspection requirements. Packed in standard export wooden cases, it is well protected during transportation and widely recognized by shipyards and shipowners worldwide.
