Manufacturing of iron wire cages: Gabion mesh (iron wire cage) is made of high-corrosion-resistant, high-strength and ductile low-carbon steel wires or the above-mentioned wires coated with PVC by mechanical weaving. The box-shaped structure made of this mesh is the gabion. According to ASTM and EN standards, the diameter of the low-carbon steel wire used varies according to the engineering design requirements. It is usually between 2.0 - 4.0mm. The tensile strength of the gabion mesh wire is not less than 38kg/m2, and the weight of the metal coating is usually higher than 245g/m2. The diameter of the marginal line of the gabion mesh sheet is usually larger than that of the mesh wire. The length of the double-twisted part shall not be less than 50mm to ensure that the metal coating and PVC coating of the wire in the twisted part are not damaged.
1. Materials required for making iron wire cage mesh
The iron wire gabion mesh is a box-shaped structure made of metal wires woven into a mesh by mechanical double-twisted weaving.
The mesh sheet is woven from high-quality low-carbon steel wires with a diameter of 2.0mm - 4.0mm. The surface of the wire is protected by hot-dip galvanizing, and the thickness of the galvanized protective layer can be made according to the customer's requirements.
The PVC mesh sheet is a mesh woven after wrapping a layer of PVC protective layer on the surface of the galvanized iron wire.
It is an ecological grid structure. Ecological grid is a new type of material structure widely used in transportation, water conservancy, municipal, garden, soil and water conservation and other engineering projects in recent years. The gabion mesh is made of anti-corrosion, wear-resistant and high-strength low-carbon high-galvanized steel wires or 5% aluminum-zinc rare earth alloy coated steel wires, which are mechanically double-twisted and woven into a multi-twisted hexagonal mesh sheet. The length of the double-twisted part should not be less than 5cm to avoid damaging the protective coating of the wire. The ecological grid can be assembled into cages according to the engineering design requirements, and then filled with stones and other fillers and connected into a whole, which is a new technology used in projects such as dike and subgrade protection.
However, for safety reasons, it is necessary to use wire mesh that meets the standards. Do not be greedy for cheapness, which may bring potential safety hazards to future use and personal safety.

2. It has a strong anti-scour ability and can withstand a water flow velocity of up to 6m/s;
3. This structure is essentially permeable and has a strong tolerance for the natural effect and filtering effect of groundwater. The suspended matter and silt in the water can be deposited in the stone gaps, which is conducive to the growth of natural plants and gradually restores the original ecological environment.
