HDPE Spiral Corrugated Pipe Machine

The HDPE spiral corrugated pipes machine is capabale to produce the HDPE/PP structure wall spiral corrugated pipe and fittings from DN/ID300mm to DN/ID 4500mm. The  HDPE spiral corrugated pipe is mainly for  drainage, storm drain, marine pipe, sewer pipeline, rain water retention tank and chemical storage tanks as well as low-pressure applications like irrigation systems, etc.

The advantage of Krah helical extrusion technology is that production is very flexible . One HDPE spiral corrugated pipe machine can produce the HDPE spiral corrugated pipe from DN300 to DN4500.  Within shortime, one size can be changed to another size during production. Variety type of wall structure and ring stiffness pipe can be produced. The pipe connection can be Electrial fusion and rubber.

PR profile achieve high stiffness with low weight. This   is the most common profile for sewer and water drainage   applications.

OP profile can achieve greater stiffness with a comparatively low weight for sewer and drainage application.

One more   Water way layer on top   of CPR profile, can achieve higher stiffness and lower weight for   sewer and drainage application.

Solid pipe with   a smooth inner and outer   surface. These pipes can be produced with   a wall thickness of 5mm to 250mm for pressure pipe and storage tank.

This profile option has a smooth inner and outer surface, including   internal profile to one layer mainly for fittings,   manhole, double wall   tank, etc.

Another one or several SQ1 profile layers ensure the very high ring stiffness   for large diameter and special application.

The core of our extrusion line lies in its precision engineering and robust construction. It is specifically tailored for processing HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), a material renowned for its excellent chemical resistance, flexibility, and durability, making it ideal for corrugated pipes used in drainage and sewage systems. The line integrates several key technological advantages:

  • Continuous Spiral Winding Process: This proprietary technology ensures seamless, high-strength pipe formation with uniform wall thickness, eliminating weak points common in other manufacturing methods.

  • High-Efficiency Extruder: Equipped with a specially designed screw and barrel for optimal HDPE plasticizing and stable melt flow, significantly reducing energy consumption per unit of output.

  • Precision Temperature Control: A multi-zone PID heating and cooling system maintains exact thermal conditions throughout the extrusion and winding process, guaranteeing superior material properties and dimensional accuracy.

  • Automated Production Control: The entire line is managed by a centralized PLC system with a user-friendly touch-screen interface, allowing for easy parameter setting, real-time monitoring, and fault diagnosis.

  • Versatile Output: The machine can produce a wide range of pipe diameters, from 300mm to 3000mm, by simply changing the winding head and molds, offering great flexibility for different project requirements.

Beyond the machinery itself, we provide comprehensive technical support, from installation and commissioning to operator training and after-sales service, ensuring a smooth integration into your production facility.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the primary application of the pipes produced by this line?
A: This extrusion line is specifically designed for manufacturing Krah-style corrugated pipes. These pipes are predominantly used in large-diameter drainage systems, sewage networks, culverts, and land drainage projects where high ring stiffness and excellent hydraulic flow characteristics are required.

Q2: Can this machine process materials other than HDPE?
A: While optimized for HDPE, the line can also be configured to process other thermoplastic materials like Polypropylene (PP) and PVC. The specific screw design and temperature profiles may need adjustment, which our technical team can assist with during commissioning.

Q3: How is the pipe's corrugated structure formed?
A: The corrugated profile is created through a continuous spiral winding process. Molten plastic from the extruder is fed onto a rotating mandrel (winding head) in a spiral pattern. As it winds, it fuses with the previous layer, and the mandrel's shape imparts the corrugated structure, resulting in a seamless, high-strength pipe.

Q4: What level of automation does the line offer?
A: The line features a high degree of automation. The core processes—extrusion speed, winding parameters, temperature zones, and cooling—are centrally controlled by a PLC. Options for automatic pipe cutting and handling systems are available to further reduce manual labor.

Q5: What kind of after-sales support do you provide?
A: We provide comprehensive support, including detailed installation drawings, on-site commissioning and training by our engineers, a standard warranty period, and readily available spare parts. Remote technical support is also offered.

Q6: What is the typical lead time for delivery?
A: The lead time depends on the specific configuration and current order queue. Generally, for a standard model, it ranges from 60 to 90 days after order confirmation. Exact timelines can be provided upon inquiry.

Q7: Can the line be customized for non-standard pipe sizes or special requirements?
A: Yes, customization is a key strength. We can work with you to adjust the machine's capacity, modify the winding head for specific diameters or profiles, and integrate additional features like special marking systems or enhanced control software to meet your unique production needs.

Q8: How energy-efficient is this extrusion line?
A: The line incorporates several energy-saving features, including high-efficiency servo drives, optimized screw design for lower specific energy consumption, and insulated heating zones. These features collectively contribute to a favorable operational cost profile.
