Swappable Pegboard Tool Cart HN-TC4201 — Hook Board to Louver Panel, Ready for Garage & Workshop | 1-Yr Warranty

One pegboard, two faces. Swap in two minutes.

A garage or workshop stores two kinds of things: tools and parts.

Tools need hooks — U-hooks for wrenches, ring hooks for screwdrivers, rail hooks for sockets, heavy-duty hooks for power tools. Parts need bins — small plastic containers with dividers, labeled by size or thread or use.

Most tool organizers force a choice between the two. A pegboard wall hooks everything but has no space for parts bins. A bin rack holds parts but leaves tools loose in a drawer.

The HN-TC4201 uses both panel types on the same frame. The front face holds a standard square-hole pegboard — 10×10 mm perforations at 38 mm center spacing, which is the common pegboard standard used by most tool hook manufacturers. The same frame also accepts a louvered panel, which has horizontal slots designed for plastic parts bins.

Swapping one panel for the other takes two Phillips screws. Each panel mounts on the frame brackets with four bolts. Remove the bolts, lift the panel, install the other one. No tools beyond the included hex key.

The frame stays. The shelves stay. Only the tool-facing surface changes.

The two panel types

Square-hole pegboard (hook board). 10 mm holes in both directions, spaced 38 mm apart on center. This is the international standard for tool hooks — same spacing used on commercial pegboard systems in North America, Europe, and Asia. A standard single-peg hook fits one hole. A double-peg hook spans two holes and resists rotation when hanging heavier tools.

The pegboard accepts every hook type in the standard 16-piece Hengna accessory set:

  • Ring hooks for screwdrivers and pliers

  • U-hooks for single wrenches

  • Rail hooks for socket sets

  • Double-hooks for hanging two tools in the same spot

  • Saw hooks for hacksaws and files

  • Six-rod hooks for multiple small wrenches

  • Parts bin hooks that clip a single bin onto the pegboard

  • sad3752dsiafoewf5328

  • Wrench holders and drill holders

Louvered panel. Horizontal slots run across the full panel width. Plastic parts bins clip into the slots and sit at a slight downward angle so the contents are visible. Bins come in four colors — blue, purple, red, yellow — for color-coded inventory. Each bin can hold nuts, bolts, washers, clips, or other small consumables.

The louvered panel has no hole pattern, so it does not accept pegboard hooks. It is a dedicated bin surface. That is why the swap capability matters — the same cart can serve as a hook wall one week and a bin rack the next, depending on what the shop is working on.

HN-TC4201 specifications: fixed, wall-mounted, with adjustable feet

The HN-TC4201 series is the fixed version of Hengna's pegboard tool cart line. It stands on four adjustable rubber feet and can be wall-mounted for additional stability. No casters, no brakes — designed for a permanent position against a wall or column.

All models use cold-rolled steel with electrostatic powder coating. Standard stock colors: blue (primary), light gray, orange, and industrial gray.

Model Levels Dimensions (H×W×D) Foot Type Best For
HN-TC4201-2 2 levels 990 × 960 × 375 mm Rubber adjustable feet Small garage, home workshop
HN-TC4201-3 3 levels 1450 × 960 × 375 mm Rubber adjustable feet General workshop, school training room
HN-TC4201-4 4 levels 1890 × 960 × 375 mm Rubber adjustable feet Machine shop, tool crib, hardware store display

The 375 mm depth works against a wall without protruding into the walkway. For shops that need deeper storage — such as double-sided walk-around racks — the HN-TC4202 mobile series with 610 mm depth is the alternative.

Each level is a solid steel shelf. The shelves are fixed height from the factory, spaced to accommodate the most common tool and bin sizes. The bottom shelf sits low enough to hold heavy items like impact wrenches or tool cases.

What the adjustable feet do

The four rubber-adjustable feet serve one purpose: leveling on uneven floors. Garages and workshops rarely have perfectly flat concrete. The floor slopes toward the drainage gutter, or the surface has settled over years of use. A rack that rocks on three feet shifts when tools are hung and retrieved. The cabinet then requires a shim or a folded piece of cardboard under one corner.

Each foot on the HN-TC4201 threads into a welded nut on the base of the frame. Twist the foot clockwise to raise that corner. Twist counterclockwise to lower it. A few turns per foot, and the rack sits flat on any surface.

The rubber pad on the bottom of each foot does two things: it prevents the steel frame from scratching epoxy or painted concrete, and it provides enough grip to stop the rack from sliding sideways during tool removal. For workshops that sweep or hose down the floor, the rubber also keeps moisture from wicking up into the steel frame.

Which panel configuration works in which situation

Pegboard only, both panels. The most common setup. Front panel holds tools on hooks. The back panel — on a double-sided model — holds the same or a different tool set. For a single-sided version like the HN-TC4201, the shelf below each panel level provides flat storage for tool cases or reference manuals.

Louver only, both panels. For a workshop that runs assembly or kit-building tasks, where small parts bins are used more than hand tools. Every level becomes a bin zone. Color coding makes retrieval fast — blue for metric fasteners, red for electrical, yellow for plumbing.

Pegboard on top, louver on bottom. Top levels are eye-level and easily reached, best for daily-use hand tools. Bottom levels are below waist height, requiring a bend to access — better suited for bins that hold bulk consumables.

Single panel, single level. For very narrow wall space, a single level of the HN-TC4201-2 (990 mm height) fits above a workbench and provides enough tool storage for a single-station operation.

How a general garage uses the HN-TC4201

A home garage usually has a 2 to 4 meter wall section between the garage door track and the house entry door. That wall space is the most practical spot for tool storage — close to where cars are parked and within reach of the workbench.

The HN-TC4201-3 (1450 mm height) fits under a standard 2400 mm ceiling with room above for a shelf. Three levels cover the most common hand tool categories: wrenches and sockets on the top level, screwdrivers and pliers on the middle, power tools and heavy tools on the bottom.

For a garage that also does woodworking, the louver panels at the bottom level hold sandpaper rolls, drill bit sets, and clamps. Swap the top panel to pegboard for chisels and measuring tools. The configuration changes in two minutes.

How a workshop uses the HN-TC4201 in a 5S system

In a manufacturing or repair workshop, 5S tool management requires every tool to have a visible assigned position. The square-hole pegboard supports this by placing each hook in a known location. Shadow boards work too, but they require cutting foam or tracing tool outlines on a board — more work to set up and maintain.

With the HN-TC4201, the workshop draws a tool layout on paper, installs hooks where each tool sits, and labels the position. The panel spacing is consistent, so the layout repeats across multiple units. If a tool goes missing, the empty hook is visible from across the room.

For workshops that combine tools with small-part inventory — a machine shop that stores cutting inserts, collets, and measuring tools in numbered bins — the louver panel section keeps bins accessible without taking up bench space. One HN-TC4201-4 with two pegboard and two louvered panels covers both tool hanging and bin storage in 375 mm of wall depth.

FAQ

What is the difference between the HN-TC4201 and HN-TC4202?
The 4201 is the fixed series — adjustable rubber feet, designed for wall mounting, 375 mm depth. The 4202 is the mobile series — four polyurethane brake casters, 610 mm depth, for rolling between bays.

What tools come with the cart?
The cart ships with the frame, panels, shelves, and feet. Hooks, bins, and holders are available as a separate 16-piece accessory pack.

How long does it take to swap a panel?
About two minutes. Four bolts per panel. The hex key is included.

Will standard pegboard hooks fit?
If the hooks are made for 38 mm center-to-center pegboard, they fit. The hole size is 10×10 mm square. Most commercial tool hooks from any brand use this spacing.

What colors are available?
Blue, light gray, orange, and industrial gray in stock. Custom colors available at 500-cart MOQ with Pantone matching.

Can the cart be mounted to the wall?
Yes. The frame has predrilled mounting points on the back. Wall anchors and screws are not included because wall material varies. The adjustable feet provide enough stability for most applications without wall mounting.

What is the warranty?
One year against manufacturing defects. Frame, panels, and feet covered. Does not cover damage from impact, overload, or modification.

FGFD910

Can I get a custom logo?
Yes, for 10-cart minimum orders. Silk-screen logo on the frame or side panel.

How is it packaged for shipping?
KD flat pack. Steel frame parts wrapped in moisture-barrier film, foam corner protectors. Panels separated with bubble layer. Hardware bag with bolts and hex key. One unit per carton, palletized for ocean freight.

Lead time?
Standard colors and configurations: 7–15 days. Custom color or logo: 20–30 days. Quote within 24 hours.
