Description
ABS is an opaque thermoplastic copolymer combining the properties of Acrylonitrile, Butadiene, and Styrene. It provides a balanced combination of toughness, rigidity, impact resistance, surface hardness, and chemical resistance at a cost-effective price. Flame retardant and UV-resistant grades are available for specific industrial requirements. ABS is widely used in automotive, electronics, electrical, mechanical, and chemical equipment components due to its ease of fabrication, good dimensional stability, and excellent mechanical properties.

Good mechanical strength and high impact resistance, even at low temperatures
Scratch and abrasion resistant, excellent creep resistance
Good electrical insulation properties
High dimensional stability, strong surface, good luster
Good chemical resistance to inorganic salts, alkalis, and many acids (except strong oxidizers)
Flame retardant grades available (UL94 V-0)
Easy to machine, mold, dye, or electroplate
