1. Product Overview
Silicon steel, also referred to as silicon steel sheet and electrical silicon steel, is soft magnetic alloy steel with silicon content ranging from 0.8% to 4.8%, categorized into non-oriented silicon steel and grain-oriented silicon steel. Characterized by high magnetic permeability, low core loss and excellent magnetization performance, it is the core magnetically conductive raw material for electrical equipment such as motors, transformers and reactors.Our company maintains spot inventory of silicon steel, silicon steel sheet and electrical silicon steel. We can supply original coils, cut-to-length sheets and custom slitting & shearing processing, and offer film-laminated packaging and complete sets of goods for foreign trade.
2. Production Process
Qualified hot-rolled silicon steel slabs are adopted as raw materials, subject to repeated cold rolling and continuous annealing to purify grain structure, followed by insulating coating treatment. Grain-oriented silicon steel adopts special texture forming process to optimize magnetic induction performance; non-oriented silicon steel sheet guarantees uniform magnetic properties in all planar directions. The surface of finished products is coated with high-temperature resistant insulating varnish to effectively reduce eddy current loss of stacked laminations. Dimensional precision and coating adhesion of all electrical silicon steel are controlled throughout production.
3. Implementation Standards
Products comply with national standard GB/T 2521 Cold Rolled Grain-Oriented and Non-Oriented Electrical Steel Strip and Sheet. Exported products meet relevant international electrical steel standards including IEC and ASTM.Multiple grades are classified according to core loss indicators. Thickness, type of insulating coating and surface precision can be negotiated and customized. Original manufacturer warranty certificates are available to meet acceptance requirements of domestic electrical manufacturers and testing demands for customs clearance in foreign trade.
4. Main Product Categories & Applicable Working Conditions
Non-oriented silicon steel: uniform magnetic properties in all directions. Main grades include 50W470, 50W600, 50W800, 50W1000, etc. Widely applied in fan motors, water pump motors, air compressor motors, generators and household appliance motors.
Grain-oriented silicon steel: outstanding magnetic conductivity in a single direction. Typical grades cover 30Q120, 27Q110, mainly used for power transformers, medium-frequency transformers and large mutual inductors.
High-grade low-core-loss electrical silicon steel: lower energy consumption, suitable for high-efficiency energy-saving motors, new energy drive motors and precision electronic control equipment.

7. Main Application Fields
Silicon steel sheet is widely used in power and electrical industries: distribution transformers, dry-type transformers, power frequency reactors; industrial motors, new energy motors, compressor motors; household appliance motors, fan motors; generators, welding machine iron cores, magnetic cores of instruments and meters, etc. Silicon steel and electrical silicon steel raw materials with low core loss are preferred for energy-saving electrical equipment.
8. Supply Supporting Information
MOQ: Sufficient spot supply of coils in conventional grades; special high-grade and special coating specifications are produced against orders.
Packaging: Standard export packaging for steel products. Steel coils are protected at inner rings and reinforced with steel strips; sheets are covered with film and packed on wooden pallets for moisture and rust prevention, suitable for ocean transportation.
Trade modes: Multiple trade terms including EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF are acceptable.
Supporting documents: Original mill test certificates, performance inspection reports, packing lists, invoices and other complete export documents.
9. Delivery Cycle
Spot silicon steel and conventional-grade silicon steel sheet: goods will be delivered within 3–7 working days upon payment confirmation.
Electrical silicon steel with special thickness, high grade, custom coating and deep processing: production and processing cycle lasts 12–25 working days.
Priority scheduling is available for key project orders; full logistics tracking ensures intact delivery of goods.
10. Quality Inspection Items
Sampling inspection will be conducted for all delivered silicon steel and silicon steel sheet: core loss value, magnetic induction intensity, dimensional tolerance and surface appearance; testing on insulating coating adhesion and heat resistance; inspection on flatness and shearing burrs of plates.
Defects such as delamination, coating peeling and poor plate shape are strictly rejected.
