1. Product Overview
Checkered Steel Plate is anti-slip steel plate formed by hot rolling with patterned rollers. Raised embossed patterns are distributed on one surface while the reverse side remains flat. Checkered Steel Plate features reliable friction resistance, good load-bearing capacity and excellent weldability, widely adopted for anti-slip walkways and platforms in various industries.
Diamond Plate is the common international trade name of Checkered Steel Plate. With neat and full surface patterns, Diamond Plate balances anti-slip performance and decorative effect. It can be directly cut, bent and welded without complicated surface treatment.
Tread Plate is another widely used abbreviation for anti-slip patterned steel. Tread Plate owns stable mechanical properties, diversified specifications and flexible size customization, meeting bulk procurement demands of global engineering and manufacturing clients.
2. Product Classification
2.1 Classification by Pattern Type
Lentil Pattern Checkered Steel Plate: The mainstream type, superior anti-slip performance, good wear resistance, less dust accumulation, suitable for factory walkways, ship decks and vehicle floors.
Diamond Pattern Diamond Plate: Regular stereo texture with outstanding decorative effect, ideal for equipment housings and sightseeing platforms.
Round Bean Pattern Tread Plate: Uniform friction, comfortable walking experience, mostly used for carriage bottom plates and light-duty operating platforms.
2.2 Classification by Steel Grade
Ordinary Carbon Steel: Q235B, SS400, A36, S235JR, applicable for general anti-slip platforms, stair treads.
Low Alloy High Strength Steel: Q355B, S355JR, Grade 50, adopted for heavy-load passages, forklift channels and marine structures.
2.3 Classification by Surface Condition
Black Hot Rolled Surface: Cost-effective, for general industrial structural usage.

3. Production Process Flow
All Checkered Steel Plate, Diamond Plate and Tread Plate are manufactured via standardized hot rolling production lines:
Raw slab inspection and surface cleaning
Even heating inside reheating furnace
Rough rolling and finish rolling with patterned work rolls
Laminar controlled cooling
Leveling and straightening treatment
Dimension inspection, appearance quality testing
Cutting into fixed lengths, bundling and warehousing
The one-time hot rolling forming ensures tight combination between patterns and base plate. The finished Checkered Steel Plate avoids peeling, delamination and pattern falling off during processing and long-term service.

6. Usage Precautions
Select appropriate thickness and material grade of Checkered Steel Plate, Diamond Plate and Tread Plate according to actual load; choose Q355B low alloy material for heavy-duty passages.
Avoid violent impact on the patterned surface during transportation and stacking to prevent pattern deformation affecting anti-slip effect.
Conduct anti-rust treatment for long-term outdoor service; galvanized checkered plate is recommended for coastal and humid environments.
Reserve enough bending radius during cold bending processing to avoid cracks at the pattern root.
Clean accumulated mud, oil and debris on the surface regularly to maintain lasting anti-slip performance.
