1.Product Overview
The Smart Manhole Cover Monitor is a product independently developed by our company for smart city services.This device monitors manhole cover status. Installed on the underside of the cover,it triggers an alarm when abnormal movement meets alert thresholds or when the manhole becomes flooded.The monitor wirelessly transmits data—including cover status and device parameters—to the monitoring center.The center parses this data to assess the alert situation. This product is widely adopted in smart city municipal infrastructure.
2.Product Advantages
Built-in tilt, displacement, and vibration sensors continuously monitor manhole cover status including opening/closing, tilting, abnormal prying/impact, and synchronize data to the management platform. Alarms (audible/visual or platform alerts) trigger immediately upon detecting anomalies (e.g., unauthorized opening, displacement).
Equipped with low-power communication modules like 4G/LoRa, enabling remote viewing of operational data and remote locking/unlocking of manhole covers (requires integrated locking covers);
Integrated GPS/BeiDou positioning for rapid identification of malfunctioning or missing covers;
Housing constructed from high-strength helmet material, offering impact resistance, collision protection, and corrosion resistance (IP67 rating or higher), suitable for complex municipal environments;
Features low-battery alerts and self-diagnostic capabilities for equipment failures. Generates maintenance logs to replace manual inspections, boosting municipal manhole cover inspection efficiency by over 60% while reducing labor costs;
Supports integration with sensors for water level, gas/biogas concentration, temperature, and humidity. Adaptable to drainage, gas, power, and telecommunications scenarios, enabling predictive detection of underground pipeline leaks and water accumulation hazards.
