Key Features & Benefits
- Ultra-Fine Mesh: With 40 openings per inch and 0.18mm wire, our screen effectively blocks small insects like no-see-ums, fruit flies, and midges, while still allowing fresh air to circulate freely.
- Premium 304 Stainless Steel: Unlike aluminum or fiberglass screens, 304 stainless steel offers exceptional resistance to rust, corrosion, and UV degradation. It will not warp, sag, or discolor over time, even in coastal or humid environments.
- High Strength & Durability: The 0.18mm wire diameter provides a robust structure that resists tearing and impact from pets, children, or debris. It can be installed in both fixed and operable windows.
- Easy to Install & Maintain: The flexible yet sturdy mesh can be cut to size and fitted into standard screen frames, sliding doors, or greenhouse vents. Cleaning is simple with a soft brush or mild soap solution.
- Excellent Visibility & Airflow: The open area of approximately 55% ensures that your view remains unobstructed and natural ventilation is maximized, reducing the need for air conditioning.
- Versatile Applications: Ideal for residential windows and doors, commercial office buildings, hospitals, restaurants, agricultural greenhouses, animal enclosures, and industrial ventilation systems.
- Eco-Friendly & Recyclable: 304 stainless steel is 100% recyclable, making our screen a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious customers.
Why Choose Our 304 Stainless Steel Insect Screen?
When it comes to keeping insects out, not all screens are created equal. Many products on the market use weaker materials like aluminum or plastic, which can corrode, tear, or become brittle over time. Our 304 stainless steel mesh offers a long-lasting solution that remains effective for years. The fine mesh (40 mesh) is specifically designed to stop the smallest pests, including those that can transmit diseases, without compromising on light or air.
We understand that each customer may have unique requirements. That's why we offer customization options including different roll widths, lengths, and even custom mesh sizes upon request. Our production facility in Hengshui, Hebei, China, is equipped with advanced weaving machines that ensure uniform mesh openings and consistent quality across every batch.
Additionally, our insect screen is easy to handle during installation. It can be cut with standard scissors or utility knives, and it fits into most standard screen frames. For best results, we recommend using a spline roller and a frame kit. If you need further guidance, our technical team is available to provide support.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
Can this screen be used for sliding doors?
Yes, absolutely. The 40 mesh stainless steel screen is flexible enough to be fitted into sliding door frames. You can cut it to the required dimensions and install it using spline and frame. -
Is this screen suitable for greenhouses?
Yes, it is an excellent choice for greenhouses. The fine mesh prevents small insects from entering while allowing sunlight and air to pass through. It also offers good durability against humidity and temperature changes. -
How does 304 stainless steel compare to 316 stainless steel?
304 stainless steel is the standard grade for most insect screens, offering great corrosion resistance in normal environments. 316 has higher molybdenum content for even better resistance to salt water and chemicals, but is more expensive. For most applications, 304 is sufficient. -
Can I use this screen for pet protection?
While the mesh is strong, it is not designed to withstand heavy impact from large pets. For pet doors or high-traffic areas, we recommend a heavier gauge (e.g., 0.5mm wire) screen. However, for standard windows, it can resist scratching from cats. -
What is the approximate weight of a roll?
A typical 1m x 30m roll weighs about 15-18 kg, depending on exact dimensions. The weight is manageable for transport and installation. -
Does this screen block UV rays?
It does not specifically block UV rays, but the metallic surface can reflect some UV. If UV protection is a priority, you may consider a coated screen or solar screen. -
How do I clean the screen?
Use a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust. For stubborn dirt, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface. -
Can I order samples before bulk purchase?
Yes, we offer sample pieces (e.g., 30cm x 30cm) for testing. Please contact our sales team to arrange a sample order.
