Petroleum Pipe (OCTG Oil Country Tubular Goods) is a core special seamless steel pipe for oil and gas exploration, drilling, well completion and crude oil transportation engineering. According to downhole functions and structural purposes, Petroleum Pipe is mainly divided into three core categories, fully covering the oil field supporting system:
1. Petroleum Casing Pipe: As the main supporting pipe for oil and gas wells, Petroleum Casing Pipe is run into the wellbore to fix the well wall, isolate different strata, prevent well collapse and formation leakage, and fully guarantee the integrity of the well structure. Conventional wall thickness: 3.18mm – 13.72mm, customized thickened wall processing is available for high-pressure working conditions

Standard fixed length: 8m – 12.5m, non-standard customized length is supported to meet the construction requirements of different well depths

Conventional: BTC/STC/LTC standard threads; High-end customization: TP-CQ, TP-TS, TP-JC and other special airtight threads with zero leakage and extremely high connection stability, suitable for high-pressure and deep-sea oil field projects.

7. Processing and Connection Methods

2. High-end Special Airtight Threaded Connection: Exclusive airtight thread structure with zero leakage under high pressure and stronger tensile and compression resistance, which is the preferred connection process for deep wells and high-pressure oil fields.

9. Storage and Usage Precautions
1. Petroleum Pipe shall be stored in a dry, ventilated and flat warehouse. Long-term open-air stacking, rain soaking and sun exposure are prohibited to avoid pipe oxidation and thread corrosion.
2. Store products by steel grade and specification separately, and separate high-strength pipes from conventional pipes to avoid misapplication and mixing.
3. Avoid severe collision and extrusion during hoisting and transportation to prevent pipe deformation and thread damage.
4. Select Petroleum Pipe with corresponding anti-corrosion steel grade according to medium composition for corrosive working conditions. It is forbidden to replace anti-corrosion pipes with conventional pipes in acid wells.
5. After pipe string installation, conduct tightness and pressure tests in strict accordance with oil field construction specifications to ensure no leakage and safe operation.
