Cold Rolled Steel Workbench WB-M930 — Factory Direct for Malaysian Workshops
Import quotes live or die on two lines: what the steel actually is, and what you pay to move it. The WB-M930 answers both. It is a cold-rolled steel workbench — SPCC sheet, full-welded frame, powder-coated after fabrication — built on one production line in Luoyang, Henan, and sold factory-direct to Malaysian workshops, dealers and procurement teams. It ships knock-down, so you are not paying sea freight to move air. Send a width and a configuration; the quote comes back without a trading company in the middle.
What “Cold Rolled Steel” Should Mean on a Quote
Plenty of listings say “steel workbench” as if steel were one thing. It is not, and the price gap between quotes is usually hiding in that word.
Cold-rolled sheet (SPCC) is rolled at room temperature, which leaves a tighter tolerance and a cleaner surface than hot-rolled stock — the finish powder coat needs something even to bond to. On this bench the panels are bent from single sheets and full-welded into one frame, so the load path runs through welds, not through a row of small bolts. The powder coat goes on after fabrication and cures into a hard shell — not a wet-paint spray that chips at the first corner.
That paragraph is also your quote-checking checklist, for us or for anyone: does the quote name the steel grade? Are the load joints welded or bolted? Is the coating electrostatic powder or wet paint? Are the fasteners standard hardware? If a quote will not name the grade, the price is telling you something.
The Range: What to Quote First
The frame family runs four widths — 1200, 1500, 1800, 2100 mm on a 750 mm deep top — with six lower layouts and four tabletop options. In practice, most requests settle on two layouts: the 1500 mm with a 4-drawer-plus-door base for single-tech maintenance bays, and the 1800 mm with dual 4-drawer cabinets for shared bays. Tabletops follow the trade: steel plate for fitting and fabrication, composite anti-static for electronics bays, 201–304 stainless for food and chemical work, solid wood for heavy assembly.
Dealers take note: stock the common two, special-order the rest. Custom widths, colours and drawer layouts are quoted from the same line — no drama, no separate factory.
From Our Floor to Your Warehouse: What Moves the Landed Cost
The ex-works price is only half the decision. Three things move the number that actually lands in your warehouse.
Freight is the second price tag. Steel benches are heavy and bulky — shipped assembled, a container is mostly air between worktops. Knock-down, the same bench packs as flat panels, and a container holds meaningfully more units. The saving is not a rounding error; for steel furniture it is usually the difference between a workable landed cost and a broken one. Ask for both packing modes on the quote and compare landed, not ex-works.
Assembly is minutes, not projects. Each bench goes up with standard hand tools — frames, pegboards, drawer racks and hardware arrive bagged and labelled. Your fitter’s apprentice can run the assembly line; that labour line stays small.
Paperwork stays boring — on purpose. Commercial invoice and packing list come with every shipment. Duty classification and local requirements are a question for your broker; we will not guess your tariff line, and you should not trust a supplier who does.
One more habit worth stealing: order one sample bench before the container. Check the weld seams, the coating at the bends, the drawer glide under load, the hardware bags. A good factory expects this; it is how serious buyers stay serious.
Your Brand on It: OEM and ODM
Dealers and workshop chains put their own name on this bench. Logo by silk-screen or laser, custom colours to match a brand palette, packaging and manuals printed for your market. Spec changes — drawer count, width, top material — run on the same production line as stock frames. What stays constant is the steel specification; what changes is whose name is on the front.

Importer FAQ
How many benches fit in one container? It depends on width, layout and packing mode — which is exactly why we issue a loading plan with every quote instead of quoting a single number. Count the plan before you commit, not at the port.
How do I check quality before a bulk order? Order a sample bench and run four checks: weld seams ground clean, coating even at the bends, drawers gliding smoothly under load, hardware bagged and labelled. A factory that welcomes this check is a factory worth quoting.
Should I ship knock-down or assembled? Knock-down for anything crossing water: lower freight per unit and simple local assembly. Assembled only makes sense where local labour costs more than the freight premium — which is rare in practice.
at are the MOQ and lead time? Both are quoted per configuration, because a 2100 mm dual-cabinet bench and a 1200 mm single table are different orders. Send the spec and you get current numbers instead of a published figure that has gone stale.
Can we sell it under our own brand? Yes. OEM runs from logo application to packaging and manuals; ODM spec changes run on the same production line as stock frames. Your brand, our steel spec.
Start With a Sample, Not a Promise
Send the specification — widths, base layout, top material, quantity band — or ask for the dealer price list. The quote comes back with a loading plan and packing options. One sample bench tells you more than three more weeks of comparing listings.
