Product Introduction
The compact frame suits hollow slab beds, which are narrower and shorter than girder beds. Travel, depth setting and cutter drum follow the standard machine. It is used on municipal bridge and slab lines that texture the top before a wearing course.

Product Description
Dust is kept down by the cutting action itself and by the low rotor speed, which matters on a yard where the surface is worked close to finished formwork. Slab lines run short, frequent pours, so a compact machine that sets up in minutes earns its place. The point of roughening is bond. A deck overlay only works if the substrate presents a uniform, open texture, and the only way to get that repetitively is a machine pass rather than a gang with chisels.

Can it be used on a hardened surface?
It is intended for concrete that has set but not fully cured, which is when texturing cuts cleanly. On fully hardened concrete the teeth wear quickly.
What maintenance does it need?
Daily checks cover tooth wear, drum bearings and guide alignment. Teeth and bearings are held as service parts.
How is the frame protected?
The welded steel frame carries an anti-corrosion finish for wet, alkaline yard conditions. Touch-up paint is supplied.
Can texture depth be varied between pours?
Yes, drum height is adjustable and the setting is recorded per pour. That allows the texture to be matched to the overlay system in use.
What surface does it leave?
An open, uniform texture with no polished patches or ridges. That is the profile a cementitious overlay needs to key into.
What does the machine do that hand chiselling does not?
It produces a uniform texture depth across the full width at a set travel speed. Hand chiselling varies with the operator, and the uneven patches are where an overlay usually debonds.
How is texture depth set?
Depth is set by adjusting the cutter drum height relative to the frame. The setting is recorded so the next pour can repeat it.
Is the cutter drum replaceable?
The drum shell is hardened and carries replaceable teeth. Teeth are changed as they wear, and the drum itself is a longer-life part.
What width can it cover?
Working width follows the girder top width specified at order, so one pass covers the surface instead of overlapping strips. A width outside that range needs a frame built for it.
