PE Series Jaw Crusher — Primary Crushing Machine for Granite, Basalt and Metal Ore
Product Spotlights
Choosing a primary crusher is one of the few equipment decisions in a plant that will still matter twenty years later, because almost everything else in the flowsheet will be replaced two or three times before the primary is. That longevity is not an accident of marketing; it comes from a design with no hydraulic circuits, no control electronics and almost nothing that cannot be repaired by the crew already on shift.
The PE series jaw crusher works on the classic curved-toggle extrusion principle: the motor drives the eccentric shaft through V-belts and a pulley, causing the movable jaw to reciprocate along a predetermined track inside the crushing cavity, so material is compressed and fractured between the fixed and moving jaw plates and falls freely through the discharge opening once it has reached the required size. The deep, symmetrical cavity is the reason the machine tolerates the feed a quarry actually produces rather than the feed a catalogue assumes — blocky, mixed, occasionally oversized — and the strong eccentric stroke ensures that hard, abrasive rock such as granite, basalt, quartzite, river stone and various metallic ores is reduced efficiently in one pass. Wear economics are engineered rather than negotiated: jaw plates are cast in high-manganese steel and are reversible, so both working faces are used before replacement, and the discharge setting can be adjusted quickly to compensate for the gradual change in cavity geometry as liners wear, keeping product gradation within specification without shutting the plant down. Maintenance access was designed with the realities of a working quarry in mind — lubrication points are reachable without dismantling guarding, fasteners are standard sizes, and the toggle plate serves as a mechanical fuse that fails cheaply and safely when uncrushable material appears. Applications extend across hard-rock quarries, metal mines, sand and aggregate plants, cement and chemical raw material preparation, and construction-waste recycling, where the same machine reduces demolition concrete into reusable aggregate. What arrives on site is a complete, documented package: an assembled and test-run machine, foundation and general arrangement drawings, an O&M manual, a spare parts catalogue with recommended stocking levels, installation guidance and operator training. Behind it sits a manufacturer that has been building crushing equipment since 1995, operates a 200,000 square metre production base with in-house casting, machining, welding and assembly, has delivered more than five thousand projects in over two hundred countries and regions, and maintains a round-the-clock multilingual technical line that connects your crew directly to the engineers who designed the machine.
