1. Product Introduction
This equipment is a customized rotary dryer specially designed for the hydroponic substrate processing industry. It has a rated processing capacity of 90 tons per day and is mainly used for the dehydration and drying of high-moisture natural coconut coir and coconut coir brick scraps.
It can accurately dry extremely wet coconut coir to the standard moisture content required for hydroponic cultivation and horticultural substrate mixing. The equipment effectively solves problems such as coconut coir moisture, clumping, easy rotting, mold growth, and difficulty in direct deep processing, making it a core supporting machine for modern soilless cultivation substrate production lines.

The 90 tons/day medium-small capacity design is suitable for the common processing scale of horticultural and hydroponic substrate factories. The operating load is balanced, supporting continuous and stable mass production without wasting equipment capacity.

The dryer adopts a low-temperature gentle hot air drying process, which does not damage the natural fiber structure, air permeability, or water retention properties of coconut coir. It fully preserves the planting performance of coconut coir substrate, ensuring high-quality finished products with wide applicability.
3. Anti-Clumping & Anti-Crushing Design
According to the characteristics of coconut coir, such as high water absorption, easy clumping, and loose texture, the dryer is equipped with specially designed dispersing lifting flights. These flights evenly loosen the material, prevent compression and crushing, and ensure uniform fluffiness of the finished coconut coir product.
4. Clean, Low-Dust & Environmentally Friendly
The entire machine features excellent sealing performance, preventing material leakage during operation. Equipped with a fine dust removal system, it effectively controls the emission of fine fiber dust, ensuring clean production and meeting the requirements of modern clean substrate processing workshops.
3. Working Principle
Wet coconut coir materials are evenly fed into the rotating drum. As the drum rotates at a low speed, specially designed lifting flights gently lift, scatter, and loosen the materials continuously, preventing coconut coir from clumping and compacting.
Hot air fully contacts and exchanges heat with the coconut coir inside the drum, gently evaporating excess moisture and achieving uniform dehydration.
The dried and fluffy coconut coir is automatically discharged and can be directly used for coconut coir brick production or hydroponic substrate blending. The small amount of dust generated during operation is purified through the dust removal system before being discharged according to environmental standards.
The entire process operates with continuous automatic production, high efficiency, and clean operation.
