1. Product Description
The Industrial Rotary Drum Dryer for Wet Silica Sand is a dedicated industrial drying equipment developed for large-volume dehydration and pretreatment of wet silica sand, quartz sand and river sand in sand processing plants. Wet silica sand naturally carries high surface moisture and tends to agglomerate during stacking and transportation, resulting in sticky and uneven material conditions. Excessive and unstable moisture seriously hinders subsequent screening, grading, washing and purification processes, causing inaccurate particle classification, low sand yield rate and unstable finished product quality. Traditional drying equipment suffers from poor wear resistance, severe particle breakage, uneven heat distribution and low drying efficiency, failing to meet the high-standard drying requirements for construction-grade, glass-grade and high-purity silica sand. This industrial rotary drum dryer adopts heavy-duty wear-resistant drum structure, optimized uniform material spreading technology, low-temperature constant-temperature circulating drying system and fully sealed clean drying design. It can thoroughly remove surface free moisture and adsorbed water from wet silica sand with minimal particle damage, ensuring uniform dryness, complete grain shape and stable sand purity. Featuring large single-machine capacity, stable continuous operation and low energy consumption, it effectively improves overall production efficiency and finished sand quality, serving as reliable core drying equipment for modern wet silica sand processing lines.
2. Working Principle
This industrial wet silica sand rotary drum dryer adopts low-temperature countercurrent gradient circulating drying and low-breakage uniform dehydration working principle, adapting to the high-hardness, high-abrasion and easy-agglomeration characteristics of wet silica sand materials. Bulk wet silica sand is continuously and quantitatively fed into the heavy-duty wear-resistant rotary drum through a stable feeding system. The upgraded anti-wear uniform lifting structure performs gentle lifting, flipping and cascading on wet sand materials, fully dispersing agglomerated wet sand clusters and forming a dense and uniform material curtain inside the drum. This structure eliminates drying dead zones and ensures full contact between silica sand particles and circulating hot air flow. The multi-stage gradient hot air circulation system conducts progressive countercurrent heat exchange, steadily evaporating surface moisture and adsorbed residual moisture within a safe low-temperature range. The mild drying process effectively protects silica sand grain integrity, avoids particle crushing and maintains original sand purity without secondary pollution. The intelligent PLC temperature and air volume linkage system dynamically adjusts operating parameters according to incoming sand humidity and production load, achieving high-precision and batch-stable drying effects. Water vapor and fine sand dust generated during operation are fully recycled through a sealed negative-pressure dust recovery system to reduce material loss and realize clean production. After continuous cyclic drying treatment, low-moisture, dry and loose silica sand is stably discharged, fully meeting the strict pretreatment standards of subsequent grading, purification and deep processing procedures.
