1. Product Overview
Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe and Fire-fighting Galvanized Steel Pipe are mainstream engineering pipe products on the market. Galvanized steel pipes are mainly divided into hot-dip galvanized steel pipes and electro-galvanized (cold-galvanized) steel pipes. Among them, Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe and Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe are the first choices for engineering projects due to their excellent performance. Manufactured based on black steel pipes (welded / seamless steel pipes), the products form a zinc protective layer on the steel pipe surface through galvanizing technology, featuring outstanding rust and corrosion resistance. They are widely applied in water supply and drainage, fire protection, gas transportation, steel structure supports, greenhouse construction, municipal engineering and other fields, covering almost all fluid transportation and steel structure building scenarios. Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe boasts a far longer anti-corrosion service life than cold-galvanized steel pipes, with a service life of up to several decades, making it a dominant choice for engineering projects. Cold-galvanized steel pipes have thin and weakly adhesive zinc layers with poor corrosion resistance, so they are rarely used in pressure fluid transportation projects at present.
2. Production Technology
1. Hot-dip Galvanizing Process: Finished Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe and Fire-fighting Galvanized Steel Pipe undergo multiple pre-treatment procedures including degreasing, acid pickling, water washing and fluxing, then are immersed in high-temperature molten zinc liquid to form a dense and uniform zinc layer on both internal and external pipe walls. After cooling, passivation, trimming and precise inspection, the finished products are delivered. Pipes produced by this process have extremely strong zinc layer adhesion and all-round internal and external galvanized protection, fundamentally improving the rust and corrosion resistance of the pipes.
2. Electro-galvanizing Process: Adopting electrolytic electroplating technology, the zinc layer is mainly attached to the outer pipe wall with an extremely thin inner coating that is easy to peel off. With weak corrosion resistance, electro-galvanized steel pipes are only used for simple decoration and non-pressure-bearing supports.
Most pipes used in current municipal construction, fire protection projects and engineering procurement are high-quality Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe. Engineering projects give priority to Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe and Fire-fighting Galvanized Steel Pipe, eliminating low-performance cold-galvanized steel pipes to ensure project quality and long-term operational stability.
3. Material Grade
Common base materials for Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe and Fire-fighting Galvanized Steel Pipe are Q235B and Q355B. Seamless pipes for high-pressure working conditions adopt high-quality steel grades such as 20# and 45#, ensuring structural strength and operational stability of the pipes from the base material level.
Executive Standards:
- GB/T 3091‑2015: Welded Steel Pipes for Low-pressure Fluid Service, applicable to conventional pipes for water supply, drainage, gas and fire protection engineering
- GB/T 8163: Seamless Steel Pipes for Fluid Service, applicable to hot-dip galvanized seamless pipes, anti-corrosion seamless pipes and fire-fighting galvanized seamless pipes for high-pressure working conditions
- Zinc Coating Standard: GB/T 13912 Metallic Coatings, which strictly regulates the zinc layer thickness and protective performance of pipes, ensuring that every Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe, Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe and Fire-fighting Galvanized Steel Pipe meets anti-corrosion quality standards.

5. Product Features
1. Excellent Rust and Corrosion Resistance: Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe and Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe isolate air and moisture through the surface zinc layer. Meanwhile, the zinc layer features sacrificial anode protection, which can continuously protect the steel substrate from rusting even if the pipe surface is slightly scratched, greatly extending the service life in outdoor and humid environments.
2. Superior Mechanical Properties: The pipes fully retain the high strength of the original steel substrate, with excellent compression and impact resistance. They can stably bear pressure for water and gas transportation, serving as the preferred Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe and Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe for pressure-bearing working conditions.
3. Good Machinability: Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe supports secondary processing such as cutting, threading, bending and welding to adapt to various construction processes. Note that welding will damage the surface zinc layer, and anti-corrosion treatment must be supplemented after welding.
4. Convenient Installation: Pipe ends can be customized with threading and grooving processing, enabling rapid connection with matching pipe fittings. The construction process is simple and efficient, greatly shortening the on-site installation period.
5. Application Limitations: Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe and Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe are not suitable for transporting strong acid and alkali media. Long-term high-temperature environments will accelerate zinc layer loss, so pipe selection shall be based on actual working conditions.
6. Main Application Fields
