Special Composite Binder for Cold-Pressed Copper Concentrate Briquettes (Cold-Setting Briquette Binder)
Basic Components
Polymer organic polymers + Modified mineral raw materials + Active additives. It is a powdery solid, 80–100 mesh fine powder, gray dry powder, and does not contain harmful impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and arsenic.
Core Advantages (Specially Formulated for Copper Concentrate)
Low addition amount without reducing copper grade. The regular addition amount is only 1.5%–2.5%. Compared with bentonite and cement, it hardly increases the ash content of briquettes and does not dilute the grade of copper concentrate, fully meeting the feeding requirements for copper ore smelting.
High strength in both cold and hot conditions. Wet briquettes do not break when freely dropped from 2 meters; the compressive strength of dry briquettes after natural air-drying is ≥90kg / piece; they do not pulverize or burst during high-temperature smelting at 1200°C, and the breakage rate during transportation and charging into the furnace is extremely low.
Cold pressing without sintering simplifies the process. It can be cold-pressed at room temperature without high-temperature roasting. Just add water, stir, and directly press into briquettes, which can be naturally sun-dried and cured. This significantly reduces coal consumption for energy, suitable for small and medium-sized copper ore powder briquetting production lines.
High briquetting rate and strong applicability. Facing high-humidity and fine-particle copper concentrate, the briquetting rate can reach over 97%. Meanwhile, it is also suitable for briquetting of copper matte slag, copper smelting dust, and tailings powder.
Environmentally friendly and low-carbon. It fully decomposes at high temperatures without residual impurities, meeting the environmental protection standards of the metallurgical industry and REACH export standards, suitable for domestic and foreign trade copper ore enterprises.
Basic Usage Ratio
Copper concentrate: 1000kg; Binder: 18–25kg; Clear water: Control the moisture content at 10%–14%. Mix evenly → wheel milling and stirring → high-pressure briquetting → stack and air-dry (reach the usable strength in 24–48 hours).
