Q1: Can the tube be cut or drilled on site?
A: Yes. FRP can be machined using standard tools (carbide-tipped blades/drills). We recommend wearing proper PPE as dust may be irritating. Pre-cut lengths are also available upon request.
Q2: What is the maximum length available?
A: Standard length is 6 meters, but we can produce custom lengths up to 12 meters. Please specify your requirement when ordering.
Q3: Is this product suitable for outdoor use in hot climates?
A: Yes. The vinylester resin provides excellent UV resistance. We also offer an optional UV-stable gel coat for extended outdoor service. Operating temperature range is −40°C to +120°C.
Q4: How does the weight compare to steel or aluminum?
A: This FRP tube weighs approximately 1.9 g/cm³, about 1/4 the weight of steel and 70% of aluminum. A standard 6-meter tube weighs approximately 2.3 kg, making it much easier to handle.
