1. What are the main advantages of FRP rectangular pipe compared to steel or aluminum?
FRP is much lighter (about 75% lighter than steel), completely corrosion-resistant, electrically non-conductive, and requires little maintenance. It also offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio and can be tailored with UV or fire-resistant additives.
2. Can the pipe be used outdoors in direct sunlight?
Yes, our standard FRP rectangular pipe includes UV inhibitors in the resin system to resist degradation from sunlight. For extremely harsh UV environments, a special UV-resistant coating is available upon request.
3. What is the maximum continuous service temperature?
Standard grade can be used continuously from -40°C to +120°C. If you need higher temperature resistance (up to 200°C), we can use specialized resin systems. Please advise your requirements.
4. Is the FRP pipe fire-retardant?
Standard product is not inherently fire-retardant, but we offer a fire-retardant grade that meets UL94 V-0 or similar standards. This option can be selected when ordering.
5. Can you cut the pipe to specific lengths?
Yes, we can produce any length up to 12 meters. For lengths shorter than 1 meter or custom cutting, please discuss with our sales team. Minimum order quantity may apply for custom cuts.
6. Do you provide a Mill Test Report with every shipment?
Absolutely. A Mill Test Report is included as standard for each batch. It details material composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional inspection results.
7. What is the typical lead time for this product?
