XZFT Attachments excavator batter bucket:
1. The taper of the side plates is what makes this a batter bucket rather than a narrow digging bucket: the walls of the excavation are formed by the bucket body itself, at the angle built into it.
2. Because the sides are tapered rather than parallel, the bucket releases the trench walls as it is lifted and does not drag the face or bind against the sides on the way out.
3. The sloping edges carry bolted cutters that are fasted through the side plate, so the cutting parts on the wall side can be turned or replaced while the bucket body stays in service.
4. The back of the bucket is a full plate welded between the side plates and reinforced at the floor, so the bucket takes the load of a heaped trench cut rather than flexing at the corners.
5. The head is a pin on bracket with the two pins and bosses bolted in place, so the bucket fits the standard linkage on a 3 ton class machine without an adapter or a coupler.
